The absolute best chicken fried steak in Kern County. Make sure to ask for the gravy on the side, so when you take home your leftovers, it doesn't get it soggy. Also had the 1 lb bone in ham which was the 💣. Everything and everyone here is fantastic. Never a bad experience. I love how they play KCW on the radio. Good portions, good prices and great people. Food was good, coffee was tasty. The wait was long, but to get good food there's always a wait. Even the temporary location was nice. Can't wait to see the new restaurant. The chicken fried steak was as big as the platter!

Great food im old school and love the vibe that I got from this restaurant also loved how the owner came by and check on me about the food and even gave me more suggestions as to what I should try next time and like how he had a conversation with us I miss places like this highly recommend and the photos don't do justice to how big these plates really are definitely food coma status
